Investigating Biochemicals

In this investigation, students work with the Biochemicals Structure Collection in Molecule World to identify the chemical constituents of fats, carbohydrates, nucleic acids, and proteins.  They use that information with a set of unknown macromolecules to determine which ones are fats, carbohydrates, amino acids (or proteins), or nucleotides (or nucleic acids).

Instructors can obtain a key for the unknown structures by signing up for an Educator Account.  Sign up today!
